Philadelphia Eagles face severe injury crisis ahead of Panthers game

The Philadelphia Eagles face a significant injury crisis heading into their Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. The team is currently on a three-game losing streak and has been severely depleted by medical issues. Most notably, starting quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out due to a blood clot, leaving backup Tanner McKee to lead the offense.

The injury list is extensive, affecting nearly half of the active roster. Key absences include running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring), and several players on injured reserve such as guard Landon Dickerson, tight ends Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers, and cornerback Jakorian Bennett. While wide receiver DeVonta Smith and defensive players Zack Baun and Jalen Carter are expected to play, the Eagles' depth is heavily tested.

In contrast, the Carolina Panthers are receiving reinforcements. The team has activated right tackle Taylor Moton and running back Trevor Etienne from reserve lists, providing stability to their roster as they visit a depleted Philadelphia side.
