Carolina Panthers finalize 53-man roster with tight end depth

The Carolina Panthers have finalized their 53-man roster, characterized by significant depth in the tight end position and specific injury concerns. Head coach Dave Canales opted to retain five tight ends: Darren Waller, Ja’Tavion Sanders, Mitchell Evans, Feleipe Franks, and Tommy Tremble. This decision, alongside keeping three quarterbacks and four running backs, resulted in a leaner wide receiver group, leading to the release of veteran David Moore and preseason standout Ja’seem Reed.

In recent practice sessions, Chuba Hubbard and Haynes King returned to the field, providing a boost to the backfield. However, running back Jonathon Brooks sat out recent activities due to soreness, and Darren Waller continues a gradual ramp-up process. Other notable roster moves include the release of linebacker Trevin Wallace and former first-round pick Isaiah Simmons.
