Carolina Panthers place both starting cornerbacks on injured reserve

The Carolina Panthers have placed both starting cornerbacks, Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson, on injured reserve following injuries sustained during a game against the Cleveland Browns.

Jaycee Horn is dealing with a tear that could sideline him for anywhere from four to twelve weeks. Mike Jackson is sidelined with a groin injury and is expected to miss at least four games.

The loss of both starters leaves the Panthers' secondary significantly weakened. To fill the void, the team will rely on Akayleb Evans and rookie Will Lee III. This defensive crisis comes at a difficult time, as the Panthers are scheduled to face the Detroit Lions, whose offense is currently ranked third in scoring.
