Carolina Panthers rookie Chris Brazzell suffers knee injury in training camp

Carolina Panthers third‑round draft pick wide receiver Chris Brazzell III, a former Tennessee Volunteers standout, was carted off the practice field on Wednesday after feeling a “weird” sensation in his left knee during a 7‑on‑7 drill. Coach Dave Canales said Brazzell will undergo testing to determine the injury’s severity; the rookie had missed the previous two days of practice because of soreness in the same knee.

Brazzell joins a string of Panthers injuries early in camp, following a season‑ending ACL tear to pass rusher Nic Scourton and an ankle sprain to backup tight end Mitchell Evans. The Panthers, defending NFC South champions, are also coping with injuries to starting offensive tackles Taylor Moton and Ickey Ekwonu, among others.
