Trainers reported he hit the back of his head while attempting a catch, experienced a stinger—a nerve injury that produces a burning sensation—and was briefly seen moving his fingers before being taken to the locker room.

Coach Dave Canales later confirmed that Legette had been evaluated and cleared of a concussion. The injury was described as a stinger rather than a head‑trauma, and the Panthers have not announced any further impact on his availability for upcoming preseason games.
