Caroline County Humane Society joins National Adventure Buddies Day

The Caroline County Humane Society is participating in National Adventure Buddies Day on Saturday, September 19. In partnership with the Best Friends Animal Society and other shelters nationwide, the initiative aims to provide shelter dogs with opportunities to leave their kennels for community activities.

Participants are matched with adoptable dogs for activities such as walks, car rides, or visits to local trails. The program is designed to help dogs decompress from the shelter environment, showcase their personalities, and provide the humane society with information regarding their behavior in public settings. The event is open to community members and volunteers, though advance registration is required.
