Caroline Dubois calls Alycia Baumgardner a coward after ringside clash

British lightweight champion Caroline Dubois has labeled American rival Alycia Baumgardner a “coward” following a heated ringside confrontation in Birmingham. The exchange occurred after Dubois secured a unanimous decision victory over Amelia Moore on August 30.

Baumgardner, who was watching from ringside, criticized Dubois’ performance as “lacklustre” and suggested the Londoner needs to improve her skillset before a potential super-fight. Dubois responded by questioning Baumgardner’s absence from the post-fight press conference and pointed to Baumgardner’s lack of high-profile bouts against fighters like Katie Taylor and Claressa Shields.

Dubois described the potential matchup between the two as “the biggest fight in women's boxing.” Baumgardner is currently scheduled to challenge Elif Nur Turhan for the IBF lightweight title on November 8. Jake Paul, co-founder of MVP, stated that his promotion is prepared to facilitate the fight once contracts are signed.
