Caroline Nababan Gets House, Scholarship from North Sumatra Governor

Caroline Cicilia Nababan, a primary‑school student from Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra, won the gold medal at the Asia Science & Mathematics Competition (ASMC) Global Round 2026 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Following her achievement, Governor Bobby Nasution of North Sumatra met the student and her parents in Medan and presented her with a newly built house, a scholarship, funding for tutoring, and a tablet to support her studies.

During the meeting Caroline asked the governor about his monthly salary and expressed a wish to meet President Prabowo Subianto, Vice‑President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and President Joko Widodo. Governor Nasution responded by pledging continued educational assistance. Caroline’s mother, Linsiani, thanked the governor for the gifts and said they would coordinate with local education officials to finalize the house transfer.
