Caroline's Cookies founder announces new Bagels! venture in Lafayette

Caroline Merryman, founder of the Lafayette-based bakery Caroline's Cookies, has announced a new quick-service restaurant concept called Bagels!. The venture will offer house-made bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and real-fruit smoothies.

The founding team includes Merryman, who will manage business operations, her brother Reece, who will lead creative direction and branding, and Ashlyn, a longtime employee who will oversee day-to-day operations. The restaurant plans to make bagel dough in-house and utilize locally sourced ingredients where possible. A specific location for the new establishment has not yet been revealed.
