Carolyna Hutchings exits Real Housewives of Lagos

Nollywood actress and producer Carolyna Hutchings has announced her departure from the reality television series ‘Real Housewives of Lagos’. In a statement shared on social media, Hutchings described the experience of participating in Nigerian reality TV as “exhausting” and stated that the show has been used to redefine her career, private life, and motherhood.

Hutchings clarified her relationship with her fellow cast members, stating, “None of the cast members of Real Housewives of Lagos is my friend,” and cautioned that her kindness should not be mistaken for personal friendship. She expressed a desire to return to her primary professional identities as a filmmaker, actress, and storyteller.

With a career spanning over two decades and more than 60 films, Hutchings noted that she intends to focus on her production work and acting. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Law and serves as the Director of Investment for the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
