Carpathian Drone Summit 2026 concludes in Jasionka
The Carpathian Drone Summit 2026 has concluded in Jasionka, focusing on the advancement of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies. The international congress addressed civil and military applications, security, and the establishment of a drone ecosystem in the Podkarpackie region.
Participants included representatives from public administration, business, science, industry, and the security sector. A key objective is to leverage the existing expertise of the Aviation Valley to build a comprehensive regional ecosystem. This plan includes integrating technology companies, scientific facilities, laboratories, testing infrastructure, investors, and certification bodies.
A central debate titled ‘Technologies that build the strength of the state’ featured discussions on developing domestic technologies and the importance of dual-use solutions. Key speakers included Podkarpackie Marshal Władysław Ortyl, Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, and Piotr Owsicki of Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów.
