Carpet cleaning tips for Polish homes

Polish guides advise vacuuming carpets at least once a week, more frequently in high‑traffic areas, and using a carpet‑appropriate nozzle to reach all fibers. Promptly address fresh stains by blotting with a clean towel, avoiding rubbing, and testing any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous spot before full application.

For routine maintenance, dry‑cleaning powders can be spread, left to absorb dirt, then vacuumed away. Wet‑cleaning methods include a mild detergent mixed with water, or a solution of water and a small amount of dish‑soap or vinegar, applied sparingly to prevent excess moisture that could cause mold. Manual scrubbing with a soft brush or using a rented carpet‑shampoo extractor are also recommended for deeper stains. Always rinse the treated area with clean water and dry it thoroughly.
