Carpi allocates €2.2 million for new hospital land expropriations

The municipality of Carpi has committed over 2.2 million euros for land expropriations required to build a new hospital. According to a decree from the Public Works and Maintenance Sector, the total expenditure for acquiring the necessary areas is approximately 2,294,008 euros.

A significant portion of this cost, totaling 1,828,759 euros, is covered by the Ausl di Modena, which has already transferred the funds to the municipality. The remaining 465,248 euros will be handled by the municipality to cover expropriation indemnities and related charges.

The municipality of Carpi will act as the expropriating authority, managing the legal procedures and subsequently assigning the areas to the beneficiaries, which include both the Ausl and the municipality itself. This follows an operational agreement approved by the City Council in March, which declared the project to be of public utility.
