Carpi launches VISPO sports festival as football club readies for new season

On Sunday, 13 September, Piazza Martiri in Carpi will host VISPO – Villaggio dello Sport, a free, open‑air sports fair organized by the Centro Sportivo Italiano (CSI) with support from the Carpi municipality. The event, returning after a ten‑year hiatus, will run from 10:00 to 18:00 and feature demonstrations, exhibitions and trial sessions across a wide range of disciplines, aimed at families and especially young people.

Meanwhile, the Carpi football team has returned to the city after a week of training in the Apennines. The squad will play its first official match of the season in the Coppa Italia C against Pianese on the evening of 21 August, followed by a friendly against Mantova on 9 August. Player Tommaso Carcani remains monitored for a foot injury that kept him out of earlier games.
