Carpi receives 761,600 euros for energy efficiency from Acl Energy

Acl Energy will pay 761,600 euros to the Municipality of Carpi as environmental and territorial compensation for the construction of the ‘Carpi Bessbattery energy storage system (BESS). The 102-megawatt electrochemical storage plant will be located in Fossoli, near Ca. Re.

The funds are designated for the energy efficiency improvements of the ‘Il Quadrifoglio’ residential care home for the elderly. The compensation amount was determined based on the economic valuation of CO2 emissions related to the plant's lifetime consumption, adhering to legal limits that cap such charges at 3% of annual electricity revenue.

This allocation aligns with national guidelines requiring compensatory measures to support environmental improvements, energy efficiency, or renewable energy installations in communities near new industrial structures.
