Carrascosa del Campo Guardia Civil barracks receive 620,000 euro renovation
The Guardia Civil barracks in Carrascosa del Campo have undergone an energy efficiency renovation costing over 620,000 euros. The project, funded through the Spanish Government’s Energy Transition Plan as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, included improvements to carpentry, wall insulation, LED lighting, and the replacement of the housing building's roof.
Additional upgrades completed in 2026 include the installation of air conditioning, painting of offices, and repairs to restrooms and common areas. During a visit to the site, Government Sub-delegate M. ª Luz Fernández noted that the post currently maintains 100% staffing coverage. She also highlighted that the province of Cuenca maintains a crime rate 15 points lower than the national average, attributing this to the work of state security forces.
