Carreña de Cabrales announces La Salud 2026 festival schedule

Carreña de Cabrales has announced the schedule for the La Salud 2026 festivities, which will take place from September 11 to 14. The celebrations honor the Virgen de la Salud, the patron saint of the council.

The program includes a bowling tournament held on September 8, followed by a series of traditional events starting on Friday, September 11, with a brotherhood meal and the official proclamation. The central celebration, or 'Día Grande,' is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, featuring a mass, a procession through Carreña, and musical performances in the Town Hall square. The festivities aim to combine religious tradition, popular music, and local customs such as the 'panorama' and traditional bagpipe and drum music.
