Carrefour recalls Anilar pressure cookers in La Réunion over explosion risk

A product recall was issued on 6 August 2026 for 7‑liter Anilar pressure cookers (model C24B‑7L, GTIN 5602029245254, lot 08/2025) sold at Carrefour, Carrefour Market and Carrefour City stores on the island of La Réunion. The recall cites a defect in the locking‑system that can cause over‑pressure, leading the cooker to explode or open suddenly while in use, posing a serious risk of burns from hot steam or food.

Consumers are instructed to stop using the affected cookers immediately and return them to the point of purchase for a full refund or voucher. The recall covers units sold between 20 October and 31 December 2025 at numerous Carrefour locations across the island, including stores in Sainte‑Clotilde, Sainte‑Suzanne, Saint‑Benoît, Saint‑Pierre, Saint‑Denis, Le Port, Saint‑Gilles, and others.
