Carrefour secures eight-year deal for stores at Paris airports

Carrefour has entered into an eight-year partnership with Groupe ADP to operate nine convenience food stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports. Following a tender process, the retailer will manage six Carrefour City locations at Charles de Gaulle, including two new sites, and three locations at Orly.

The stores will feature a new concept titled ‘Carrefour City Renew’, designed to provide quick service and high-quality food options for the millions of annual passengers and 120,000 employees at the airports. The updated offering includes expanded food and beverage selections, snack areas, and freshly prepared products made in a fully-equipped airport kitchen. Operating hours will be extended from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

This agreement is part of Carrefour’s broader strategic shift toward travel retail and proximity formats. The company has recently secured several agreements to expand its presence in transit hubs, including rail stations and the Grand Paris Express network.
