CarrefourSA reports 5.76 billion lira net loss for first nine months of 2026

CarrefourSA has released its financial results for the first nine months of 2026, reporting a net loss of 5.76 billion lira. While this represents a slight decrease from the 6.1 billion lira loss recorded during the same period last year, the company faced several financial challenges.

Sales revenue declined by approximately 11.7%, falling from 78.34 billion lira in the previous year to 69.19 billion lira. Gross profit also saw a reduction, dropping from 18.4 billion lira to 15.07 billion lira, resulting in a lower gross profit margin of 21.78%.

Operating losses increased, with the core operating loss rising from 6.98 billion lira to 7.32 billion lira. Additionally, financing expenses grew to 8.8 billion lira, up from 7.54 billion lira in the prior year. Despite these losses, the company's total assets rose to 49.04 billion lira as of September 30, 2026, and equity moved into positive territory at 8.75 billion lira, compared to a negative equity position at the end of 2025.
