CarrefourSA shares rally 94% after ownership transfer and 15.9 billion TL capital injection
CarrefourSA shares experienced a historic rally on Borsa İstanbul following a major change in ownership and a significant capital injection. The company's stock rose by 94.4% in seven consecutive trading days, climbing from 174 TL to 338.25 TL.
The ownership shift follows an agreement signed in April 2026, where Sabancı Holding and Carrefour Nederland BV agreed to transfer their combined 89.28% stake in CarrefourSA to Yeni Mağazacılık A.Ş., the owner of A101. The transfer process was officially completed on July 31.
Following the takeover, the new majority shareholder, Yeni Mağazacılık A.Ş., provided a total of approximately 15.9 billion TL in capital advances to CarrefourSA during the first ten days of August. These funds, provided in three installments, are intended to strengthen the company's financial structure, settle financial debts, and support operational processes.
