Carrie Johnson undergoes bariatric surgery after reaching 273 kg
Carrie Johnson, a participant in the television program ‘My 600-lb Life’, has undergone bariatric surgery to address severe obesity. At her peak weight, Johnson reached 273 kg (over 600 pounds) and required assistance from her husband for basic daily tasks, such as bathing.
Her struggle with compulsive eating was linked to the traumatic loss of her father, who also suffered from obesity and died following complications from weight-loss surgery. Under the care of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, Johnson has focused on weight loss and managing her health in the United States.
