Carrot Top hospitalized in Las Vegas following reported suicide attempt

Carrot Top Scott Thompson Las Vegas Luxor residency hospitalization

Comedian Scott Thompson, known professionally as Carrot Top, has been hospitalized in Las Vegas following a reported suicide attempt on Friday, September 18. His representative, Jami Schlicher, confirmed that Thompson is recovering and receiving necessary care, while requesting privacy for his family.

The incident led to the immediate cancellation of his scheduled performances at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Thompson has maintained a long-running residency at the Luxor since 2005.

The hospitalization coincides with a legal dispute involving singer Brian Evans. Thompson’s legal team has alleged that Evans attempted to extort $500,000 by threatening to release sexually explicit material via a court docket. Evans has denied these allegations, stating that any such recording was deleted long ago as part of a prior settlement and that he never made a threat.
