Cars24 launches Deployment Inc with $5 million investment

Cars24 has launched Deployment Inc, an independent enterprise AI company designed to help organizations implement and operate AI systems within critical business workflows. The venture is backed by an initial $5 million investment from Cars24, which will also serve as its first customer.

Deployment Inc utilizes a model of forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) who work directly within a client's organization. These engineers aim to bridge the gap between AI model demonstration and reliable enterprise production by connecting models to specific company data and systems. The company plans to hire 50 engineers and targets sectors such as financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and logistics.

The startup was developed from the internal AI operating model used by Cars24, which reportedly reduced service-request turnaround times from 32 hours to 30 minutes. Deployment Inc has also been selected as an OpenAI Select Partner for enterprise deployments.
