Carson Beck sidelined by Cardinals due to rib injury

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Beck was held out of the preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a rib injury sustained during the Hall of Fame game. Although Beck practiced through soreness throughout the week, the team opted to sit him out as a precautionary measure to prevent further aggravation of the injury.

Head coach Mike LaFleur stated there is “no concern level really” regarding the injury, noting that Beck experienced lingering discomfort. The decision to rest Beck comes at a time when the Cardinals are managing multiple rookie injuries, including a knee injury to Chase Bisontis and an ankle injury to Jeremiyah Love. Beck is expected to return to practice following the weekend.
