Carson Hocevar and Brad Keselowski clash over Darlington wreck

Tensions have risen between NASCAR drivers Brad Keselowski and Carson Hocevar following an on-track incident at Darlington Raceway during the Cook Out Southern 500. On Lap 107, Hocevar, driving the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, made contact with the left-rear quarter panel of Keselowski’s No. 6 RFK Racing Ford, sending the veteran driver spinning out of Turn 4.

Keselowski’s spotter, T. J. Majors, characterized the contact as a deliberate move rather than an accident. Majors stated that Hocevar appeared to realize he could not complete the pass through standard means, suggesting, “I think he was okay with contact because that was the third time he knew he wasn't going to pass us.”

In response, Hocevar dismissed the incident as a byproduct of intense competition, stating, “sh-t happens sometimes when you're racing hard.” He maintained that while he was racing aggressively to secure stage points, he did not intentionally attempt to spin Keselowski, attributing the contact to the high intensity of racing closely for multiple laps.
