Carson Hocevar's NASCAR Rise Sparks Calls for More Wins

NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon told rising driver Carson Hocevar that his growing fame must be backed by more race victories. Speaking on the Racin’ With The Boys podcast, Gordon praised Hocevar’s off‑track visibility – including appearances at the Met Gala and the ESPYs – but warned that “we need him to win more” for the sport to fully benefit from his star power. Hocevar, who drives for Spire Motorsports, is fifth in the points standings, has one Cup win, five top‑five finishes and nine top‑ten finishes in his third season.

Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks also defended Hocevar after a recent on‑track incident, saying the driver’s polarizing personality is “good for the sport.” Marks highlighted Hocevar’s ability to draw attention and argued that such high‑profile personalities are needed to grow NASCAR’s audience.
