Carson Mumford extends AEO Powersports Racing contract through 2029

American motocross rider Carson Mumford has signed a contract extension with AEO Powersports Racing, securing his position with the team through the 2029 season. This agreement follows a breakout performance by Mumford in the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, where he finished seventh in the 250cc standings.

Team owner Jeremy Scism noted that the long-term commitment reflects the rapid development of Mumford as a vital member of the organization, both on and off the track. The extension comes after an initial extension that had already secured Mumford through 2027.

While not officially confirmed, there are indications that AEO Powersports Racing may transition to factory Husqvarna machinery starting in the 2027 season. Scism hinted at ‘very big things’ in development for the future of the racing program.
