Cartagena and Alvear celebrate municipal anniversaries
The Chilean commune of Cartagena celebrated its 125th anniversary on August 10. The commemorative activities included protocol greetings from representatives of the Carabineros de Chile, PDI, Navy, and Army to Mayor Lily Silva García. A Te Deum Ecuménico was held at the Municipality of Cartagena, featuring a joint prayer by local religious leaders for the community's progress and security. The event also included a ceremony to honor local residents who have made significant contributions to the development of the commune.
In Argentina, the city of Alvear marked its 111th anniversary with an official ceremony led by Mayor Carlos Pighin. The celebration highlighted new urban developments, including the expansion of the public bicycle system to 40 units and 13 stations across the city. Additionally, the municipality presented the renovated 'Alvear 360°' Monitoring Center, aimed at enhancing citizen security and sustainable mobility.
