Cartagena Siempre launches first photography competition

The Asociación Cartagena Siempre has announced its first photography competition, ‘Cartagena Siempre’. The contest is open to Spanish residents over the age of 16, excluding professional photographers whose primary economic activity is photography.

Participants are encouraged to capture the urban landscape of Cartagena, including its architecture, historical and cultural heritage, gardens, and public spaces. The association aims to showcase the city's richness through an exhibition scheduled for late 2026.

Cash prizes include 300 euros for first place, 200 euros for second, and 100 euros for third. Winners will also receive high-quality rigid prints of their winning photographs. A jury composed of four recognized experts in photography or painting will select up to 50 finalists. The submission period runs from September 20 to October 20, with the final decision expected on November 6.
