Cartagena to host five-day Hispanidad cultural and business program
The city of Cartagena will host a five-day celebration of Hispanidad from October 8 to 12, featuring more than thirty cultural, educational, and business activities. Organized by the City Council and the Héroes de Cavite Cultural Association, with support from the Hispanotec business network, the program aims to bring history, music, and the ties between Spain and the Americas into public spaces.
Key events include conferences and roundtables regarding Spanish-American history, exhibitions, musical performances, and traditional Ibero-American dances. The City Hall square will serve as a primary venue for Cuban and Peruvian music and a concert by the Tercio de Levante Music Unit. A special program will also mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, highlighting Spain's role in its independence.
On the business front, the event will include company visits, meetings between Spanish entrepreneurs and visitors, and the first General Assembly of Hispanotec. The festivities will conclude on October 12 with a historical scavenger hunt through the city.
