Cartagena to host free public tours of Isaac Peral S-81 submarine
The Isaac Peral S-81 submarine, built in Cartagena for the Spanish Navy, will host a free public open house on October 3. The event will allow visitors to tour the interior of one of the Navy's most modern vessels.
Located at the port of Cartagena in front of Héroes de Cavite, tours will take place between 16:00 and 20:00. There are 240 available spots, organized into groups of 15 people every 15 minutes. Registration opens on Monday, September 28, at 16:00 via the Cartagena City Council website. Each registration must be individual and requires a DNI.
Due to the submarine's configuration, certain restrictions apply. Children under 6 and individuals with reduced mobility may not participate due to narrow passages and stairs. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear. For security and ease of movement, backpacks, bags, and strollers are prohibited. Additionally, photography, video, and audio recording are not permitted during the tour.
