Cartagena to host gluten-free gastronomic fair on October 24

The city of Cartagena will host the ‘Cartagena sin gluten’ gastronomic fair on Saturday, October 24, at Plaza San Francisco. The event, which runs from 11:00 to 15:00 with free admission, is organized by the Hostecar hospitality association, the Cartagena City Council, and the Murcia Celiac Association (ACMU).

The fair will feature live show cooking, gastronomic stands, and presentations focused on cuisine suitable for celiacs and those with gluten intolerances. Participating chefs include Esteban Franco (La Bocana de Palos), José Antonio (Cocina con Salmerón), Adrián Ros, and Néstor Giuliodo (Salazones Garre). The program will cover both traditional dishes, such as the local caldero cartagenero, and fusion cuisine.

In addition to culinary demonstrations, the event will include talks by nutrition and health experts regarding the impact of celiac disease on health and the restaurant industry. Participating food stands include Ayana, José Díaz, El Pilón de la Negra, and Café Lab.
