Cartagena's Historic Casa del Niño to Receive €8 Million Renovation

Santa‑Cruz Arquitectos has been awarded an €8 million contract from the regional government to carry out a comprehensive restoration of the Casa del Niño in Cartagena. The 30‑month project will refurbish the 3,300 m² historic Modernist complex, which has been declared a Bien de Interés Cultural, and will upgrade facilities for the CEIP Hermanos San Isidoro y Santa Florentina school serving roughly 730 pupils.

Mayor Noelia Arroyo highlighted that the work will not only improve classrooms and school services but also reopen cultural spaces such as the historic auditorium, former cafeteria, library and the Gota de Leche, allowing the building to once again serve the wider community of Cartagena.
