Cartaxo to host first higher education class in 2026/2027

The municipality of Cartaxo will host its first higher education class during the 2026/2027 academic year. The Professional Higher Technical Course (TeSP) in Business Management has seen high demand, with all necessary vacancies filled to establish the cohort.

Classes are scheduled to begin on September 14. This initiative aims to bring higher education closer to the local community, providing qualification opportunities for both young people and working professionals without requiring them to leave the municipality.

The project is the result of a partnership between the Cartaxo Municipality, the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, the Business Movement Association of the Cartaxo Municipality (AMECC), and the Marcelino Mesquita School Group. While the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém provides the scientific and pedagogical components, the partnership seeks to strengthen the link between academic training and the local economic and business fabric.
