Cartier opens first New Zealand boutique in Auckland

Cartier has opened its first boutique in New Zealand, located on Queen Street in Auckland. The store is housed in a restored heritage building from 1883, formerly the Imperial Hotel.

The boutique design was specifically conceived for the New Zealand market, drawing inspiration from local elements such as the Waitematā Harbour, native forests, and coastal light. The interior features works by local and long-time collaborators, including a hand-carved tōtara portal by Māori wood carver Steve Solomon, hand-blown glass installations by Isaac Katzoff, and an artwork by François Mascarello that integrates the Cartier panther motif with New Zealand flora and birdlife.

The new location brings the brand’s full range of products under one roof, including jewellery, fine watchmaking, leather goods, eyewear, and fragrances.
