Cartoon Forum 2026 showcases European animation in Toulouse

The 37th edition of the Cartoon Forum co-production forum took place in Toulouse, France, bringing together approximately 897 animation professionals from 35 countries. The event featured pitch sessions for 65 to 66 animation projects from 19 European nations, aimed at securing financing and partnerships with broadcasters, investors, and streaming platforms.

France led the project selection with 31 to 32 pitches, followed by Ireland with 6, Germany with 5, and Spain with 4. The forum also highlighted increased female participation, with women accounting for 53.6% of attendees.

Under the ‘Québec-Canada Land in Europe: A Space for Creation’ initiative, the event included participation from Canadian professionals. Six projects from Canada, supported by SODEC and Telefilm Canada, were presented to foster alliances between the North American and European animation industries.
