Carugate secures €1 million for flood prevention project

The municipality of Carugate has secured one million euros in funding from the Metropolitan Recovery and Resilience Plan (PMRR) to combat recurring flooding in the via Don Sturzo parking area. The project, developed in collaboration with Gruppo CAP, aims to protect adjacent residential garages and basements from heavy rainfall.

The investment will focus on hydraulic invariance through the enhancement of the underground sewage network and the installation of draining surfaces. The plan also includes landscaping with new trees to facilitate rainwater runoff and prevent the accumulation of water that currently flows into building basements.
