Casa AMA Leitura opens new literacy space in Teresópolis

Casa AMA Leitura has opened a physical space in Teresópolis, Brazil, to promote literacy and engagement with books from early childhood. Led by writer and educator Ana Maria de Andrade, the initiative aims to foster imagination and creativity through various activities.

The facility, which is part of the Instituto AMA Leitura, offers storytelling, art workshops, and play-based learning. Programming is designed for various age groups, including babies, children up to age 10, and activities for youth and adults. The space is maintained through a social responsibility program associated with the founder's business, which holds the ‘Empresa Amiga da Criança’ recognition from the ABRINQ Foundation.
