Casa Antonino: A historical social hub in La Laguna

Casa Antonino, a historic dining establishment located near the Cristo de La Laguna plaza, served as a significant social hub in Spain for several decades starting in the 1920s. The establishment maintained a deep connection to the local Artillery Barracks, as its owner, Antonio López (known as Antonino), also managed the canteens for officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers.

Due to its location and the owner's military roles, the house became a meeting point where military personnel and local residents shared news and meals. One of its most notable traditional dishes was ‘carajacas’, a Canary Islands preparation consisting of marinated and fried liver served on bread.
