Casa Branca hosts 10th Jabuticaba Gastronomic Festival
The municipality of Casa Branca, located in the interior of São Paulo, is hosting the 10th edition of the Jabuticaba Gastronomic Festival. Held at Praça da Matriz, the event spans several dates in September, specifically from the 11th to the 15th and from the 18th to the 20th.
Recognized as the state capital of the jabuticaba fruit, Casa Branca relies heavily on the crop, which accounts for approximately 30% of the municipality's revenue. The region maintains about 50,000 jabuticaba trees, with production exceeding two million kilograms per harvest. The festival features approximately 100 exhibitors, including large-scale and small-scale producers, showcasing various products such as sweets, beverages, breads, ice cream, and savory dishes like ravioli made from the fruit.
The celebration includes a diverse musical lineup and cultural activities intended to bolster local tourism and the economy.
