Casa de Cantabria presents Emboques de Oro 2026 awards

The Casa de Cantabria in Madrid held its Emboques de Oro 2026 awards gala at the Gran Casino de El Sardinero. The ceremony honored several prominent figures from the Cantabria region.

María José Sáenz de Buruaga, President of Cantabria, received the top award. She described the honor as a collective recognition of the Cantabrian people and their ongoing efforts toward regional transformation and progress. Other major recipients included Álvaro Pombo, a poet and novelist, and the leadership of Racing de Santander, including Manuel Higuera and Sebastián Ceria.

Additionally, the event granted Honorary Member distinctions to Grupo Riojano, the Association of Friends of the Royal Artillery Factory Museum of La Cavada, and Destilería Siderit.
