Casa do Norte musical to premiere in São Paulo

The musical play ‘Casa do Norte’ is set to premiere on September 25, 2026, at the Teatro Anchieta do Sesc Consolação in São Paulo. Produced by Grupo Clariô de Teatro to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary, the inaugural season will run until November 1, 2026.

The production, directed by Naruna Costa, explores the cultural memory of the São Paulo peripheries through ‘Casas do Norte’—businesses established by Northeastern migrants that serve as community hubs. The plot centers on a cultural tavern called ‘Fecha Nunca’ and follows an unusual investigation triggered by the disappearance of a community mailbox, which uncovers various secrets and stories.

The cast includes Alexandre Souza, Cleydson Catarina, Martinha Soares, Naloana Lima, Rager Luan, Washington Gabriel, and Naruna Costa. The script was written by Jhonny Salaberg, with musical direction by Naloana Lima.
