Casa Hogar Santa Eduwiges children visit Pet Farm in Los Mochis

Children from the Casa Hogar Santa Eduwiges shelter participated in an experiential visit to Pet Farm in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. The activity focused on animal interaction, nature contact, and exposure to equine therapy spaces.

The initiative was supported by veterinarian Juan Fernando Murrieta, who provided free access to the facilities as part of a social commitment to vulnerable children. Karla América Rojo, director of Casa Hogar Santa Eduwiges, noted that such experiences can support the emotional, psycho-emotional, and psychomotor well-being of children who have faced difficult circumstances.

Murrieta stated that these programs, including equine therapy, were inspired by family experiences and aim to provide accessible spaces for groups of children and individuals requiring specialized attention.
