Casa Madre Teresa di Calcutta celebrates 20 years of Alzheimer's care
Casa Madre Teresa di Calcutta, a facility within the Opera della Provvidenza Sant’Antonio, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Located in Sarmeola di Rubano, the center specializes in providing care and support for individuals suffering from Alzheimer's disease and cognitive decline.
Since its inception in September 2006, the institution has expanded from day centers to include residential services. Over two decades, it has established itself as a regional reference point for clinical and relational care, offering rehabilitative techniques and support for families from the point of diagnosis through end-of-life care. Monsignor Roberto Ravazzolo, general director of Opsa, noted that the facility was originally a sign of charity from the Diocese of Padua and has evolved into a vital service for ensuring a dignified existence for non-self-sufficient individuals.
