Casa Mazzini in Genoa reopens with modern design and immersive exhibits

Casa Mazzini - Museo del Risorgimento in Genoa has reopened following a major restyling project supported by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. The museum features a modernized, pop-inspired graphic design by studio Corrado Anselmi and a new immersive room dedicated to the birth of the Italian national anthem. The updated facility includes a 60-seat conference room, a reading room, and social spaces designed to increase accessibility and engagement for new generations.

In other cultural developments, the Archaeological Museum of Alghero (MUSA) has reopened after accessibility improvements funded by the PNRR to remove physical and cognitive barriers. Additionally, the Museo Civico di Montevarchi is continuing its “Vorreiandarealmuseo” project to enhance accessibility for diverse groups, including those with disabilities and the elderly.

In Pisa, the Domus Mazziniana is hosting a presentation of Stefano Garzonio’s book, “Medico e soldato,” which utilizes the diaries and notes of Carlo Crespellani to provide a historical account of the 19th century. Meanwhile, the Galleria d’Arte Moderna Ricci Oddi in Piacenza is hosting a multidisciplinary seminar involving the Politecnico di Milano to discuss architectural challenges in monumental historical contexts.
