Casa Mița Biciclista facade decorations removed amid controversy

The heritage building Casa Mița Biciclista in Bucharest has come under scrutiny following the removal of decorations from its facade. A content creator claims that the removal occurred after they filed reports with the Bucharest Local Police and the Control Directorate on August 22. While community members have reportedly submitted written complaints, local police and the restaurant's representatives have not confirmed whether these reports directly led to the removal of the ornaments.

Edmond Niculușcă, the co-founder and administrator of Casa Mița Biciclista, has recently gained public attention following a controversy regarding food items at Piața Amzei. Niculușcă has a background in public administration and civic activism, having previously served as a personal advisor to Bucharest Mayor Nicușor Dan and as a counselor at the Ministry of Culture during the Dacian Cioloș government. He also served as deputy director at the Municipal Administration for the Consolidation of Buildings at Seismic Risk (AMCCRS).
