Casa Monarcas promotes disability inclusion in Martínez
Casa Monarcas, a café, nursery, and cultural center located in Martínez, Argentina, is working to transform community perceptions of disability through inclusive employment. Founded by agronomist Fernanda Bardón Font and her husband, the project provides professional opportunities for individuals with disabilities, such as those with Down syndrome, to integrate into daily community life.
The initiative was established to address the lack of participation spaces available to people with disabilities after they complete their schooling. By operating in a high-traffic area, the center aims to foster daily coexistence between people with and without disabilities, showcasing the beauty and capability of the community through shared work.
