Casablanca expands transport connectivity with new bus and air links
Casablanca is enhancing its regional connectivity through the introduction of new public transit and aviation services.
On the ground, two new bus lines, 511 and 52, have been launched by Casabus, operated by Alsa. Line 511 connects the Errahma sector to the university faculties via the El Jadida road, passing through neighborhoods such as Oulfa and Lissasfa. Line 52 links the Errahma park to Sofi Hospital, serving the Hay Hassani district and reaching the coastal areas of Aïn Diab and the Corniche.
In the air, Royal Air Maroc will launch a new flight connection between Casablanca and Essaouira starting November 1, 2026. The service will offer two weekly round-trip flights with a subsidized economy class fare of 400 dirhams per trip. This initiative is part of a strategic partnership involving various ministerial departments and regional authorities to promote cultural heritage and improve domestic accessibility. The new route is expected to facilitate easier connections to Royal Air Maroc’s international network via Mohammed V Airport.
