Casablanca Marathon 2026 receives World Athletics Elite Label

The 17th edition of the Crédit du Maroc Casablanca Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026. Organizers expect approximately 15,000 participants from 60 different countries to compete in three formats: the full marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon (21.097 km), and a 4x10.5 km team relay.

A major development for this edition is the official inclusion of the Casablanca Marathon and Half Marathon in the World Athletics Label Road Races 2026 calendar. The marathon has specifically earned the Elite label from World Athletics, which requires adherence to international standards regarding course certification, sporting supervision, and the participation of high-level athletes.

Technological and social initiatives have also been introduced. A new mobile application will allow spectators to track runners in real-time via live GPS. Additionally, the event is launching ‘Challenge 421’, an inclusive program supported by civil society that allows walkers with disabilities to complete the final 421 meters of the course and cross the finish line with the other participants.
